There’s a lot going on in the world right now that doesn’t necessarily make us feel like celebrating. It’s International Day of Happiness and some may be wondering, what is there to be happy about? Turns out, a whole lot.
The United Nations Foundation has partnered with singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams and his monumental hit song “Happy” to show that happiness can exist everywhere, even when we’re faced with challenges.
International Day of Happiness was established by the United Nations to recognize that “the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal.” Everyone deserves the chance to be happy and healthy and so the #HappyDay campaign also invites us to support UN humanitarian efforts through the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF).
